Truck/Lift Truck Instructor
The Industrial Powered Truck standard requires that
employees who operate self-propelled industrial trucks that pull, push, lift,
or otherwise maneuver a load to have formal and hands on training on the use
of those devices before they operate the units at work.
The Lift Truck Instructor Communication Instructor
program is a train-the-trainer
session designed to prepare the participant to comply with OSHA's CFR
1910.178 - the Industrial Powered Trucks Standard. The course
discusses basic Methods of Instruction, the essential elements of the
course, and the administrative requirements of 1910.178. Participants
are awarded instructorship through the American Safety & Health
Institute and the ability to issue ASHI Lift Truck course completion cards.
